Texas Broadcast Museum Monthly Mini Magazine

Relax in southern comfort on the east bank of the Mississippi. You're just around the corner from Beale Street and Sun Records. Watch the ducks, throw back a few and tell us what's on your mind.

Texas Broadcast Museum Monthly Mini Magazine

I signed up for the Texas Broadcast Museum's magazine. Getting it each month is a real trip into the past.

You can visit the Museum online at https://texasbroadcastmuseum.com/ or drop in when you're in Kilgore Texas.

Cool, Nice they're doing that mag. I remember a guy associated with the place, years ago, selling all kinds of cool old radio gear on ebay.
Best,

Excellent. Thank you for that.

This is what I love about Americans and USA. Nation of doers.

Around about 15 years ago a friend of mine and I were working towards forming a Museum of Science and Industry here in Scotland. He was leading it but unfortunately he died.

Apart from a handful of dedicated individuals nobody really cares about these things here, considering that John Logie Baird is Scottish. Nobody knows who James Clerk Maxwell is. Even higher education does not give a toss about him. Embarrassing.

Anyhow, I have a very very early Marconi Dynic Regulator, a single diode tube power supply. The label on it says that it is licenced to the user only and can not be transferred to a third party. The capacitors are like big Turkish Delights. All dried and cracked. At some point I am going revive them. Otherwise the rest is all intact. Even the original fabric coated mains cord.

Speaking of which I recently visited eBay and saw that "Flower Pot Guy" was still around.
