Stories You Couldn't Post In The Brewery

Relax in southern comfort on the east bank of the Mississippi. You're just around the corner from Beale Street and Sun Records. Watch the ducks, throw back a few and tell us what's on your mind.

Swedish Minister for Gender Equality Paulina Brandberg Seeks Treatment for ‘Phobia of Bananas’

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/1 ... treatment/

Image
“Paulina Brandberg, the Swedish minister for gender equality, said that she was getting professional help after emails detailing her staff’s “banana-proofing” precautions were leaked to a tabloid newspaper.”

The minister has ´posted about suffering from the ‘world’s weirdest phobia of bananas’ in the past, but has since deleted the posts.

“Emails reportedly sent before official visits asked for “no bananas” to be allowed claiming that Ms. Brandberg had a ‘strong allergy.’”

In correspondence with then Speaker of Parliament, an aide insisted there should be ‘no traces of bananas’ in any place where Brandberg would visit.

She told the Expressen newspaper that she had ‘a banana phobia’, described its impact as ‘sort of an allergy’, and said she is getting professional help for it.

“A banana phobia can be triggered by seeing or smelling the fruit, and can cause anxiety and nausea. Some experts suggest that it can develop during childhood.”

As the demands for ‘banana-free zones’ made headlines, other politicians defended her.

Ulf Kristersson, Swedish prime minister, professed to have ‘great respect’ for people struggling with phobias.

“’It bothers me that a hard-working minister is now almost reduced to a phobia. That she is being ridiculed. I think people should rise above that’, he told the TT news agency.”

There was even an MP from an opposition Party revealing said she also suffered from ‘bananaphobia’. Apparently, that’s a thing in Sweden.
Whiners say "it's controversial."

A minister for gender equality with an anti banana bias , its worthy of a Monty Python sketch ,
Id love to see what John Cleese would make of it ,

Maybe she had a Mrs Doubtfire like granny who knew whats best and forced chunks of banana in her mouth , accompanied with tears ,gag reflexing and regurgitation .

Back in the early '90s at Dallas Sound Lab we hosted a "Rockline" episode with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page.

In the early afternoon the advance team came in while we were doing some work in the hallway and there was an electric drill that was being used laying next to a wall.

The advance dude immediately went to the studio manager and told him "Don't let Mr. Page see that drill. He'll freak out." Needless to say our imaginations ran wild...

In retrospect I suspect he may have been shocked badly by one. It's my understanding that consumer drills in the UK are 220V double-insulated and commercial drills are 120V and run on a required, mandated, isolation transformer.

I posted lots of potentially litigious stories in the brewery over the years , some of it downright scandalous ,but close enough to the uncomfortable truth to avoid legal wrangling , I made sure I had more than a single source to base my accusations on , needless to say all highly credible and trustworthy people .

I probably generated more than my fair share of complaints from the new generation of delicate souls who inhabit GDIY these days , that might explain why around 98% of my brewery content was expunged

Everything in Ireland and the UK on a worksite runs off 110V with a 3-5kVa 'yellow' isolation transformer and 16A shrouded connector .
Secondary is two 55v windings in series, centre tapped to earth ,with an earth leakage breaker that cuts out in milliseconds in the event of a fault current .
Inherent safety is well above the usual situation with direct 240v to neutral/ground , in the case of electric shock the maximum is 55v to ground .
Everything is ingress protected from moisture ,wet and dirt, especially important here where it rains a lot .

I have a buddy who lives in a rural setting , he had a door flap installed for his dog ,
He started to notice late at night the dog would become scared and start growling ,
he was having a visitor to his dogs food bowl , a badger had made it part of his nightly rounds ,

He was in the building trade and he asked me if he could use the transformer to give badger a little reminder he wasnt welcome in his house anymore
I had him set up two metal foot grates on his front step , one on top of the other , with a couple of insulators between the two at the edges , top one connected to 55v , lower one to ground , When Mr Badgers nuts sack touched down he got a nice little jolt , learnt him a lesson and he never returned He wasnt harmed in any way , which is good because its a protected species the laws here are fairly strict regarding human interference with it or its habitat .
Same guy told me a story one time , as a HMS navy recruit he'd ended up in a scuffle with one of the officers in a war game scenario ,
Instead of reporting him to their superiors they wired his nuts up to an old style field telephone with croc clips , he said it was the most effective torture method he'd ever seen ,a small fraction of a turn on the crank handle and he knew they meant business , he was ready to tell them anything they wanted to hear .

That's what I recalled except for the grounded center tap.
It's quite similar to the https://equitech.com/ balanced power system here in the US for studio mains except for different reasons.

NOT THE BABYLON BEE: Denmark To Implement the World’s First Tax on Agricultural Emissions, Including Cow Farts

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/1 ... first-tax/
The unchecked mass migration is not the only failed Globalist policy that Eutrope has embraced – there is also the ‘Global warming’ hoax that ushers in a slew of crippling policies that is slowly destroying the continental economies.

Few countries are more enthusiastic on their way to demise than the Nordic kingdom of Denmark.

It arises now that Denmark is on track to implement the world’s first tax on agricultural emissions, including flatulence by livestock.

Yes, you read it right. Cow and pig farts are to be taxed.

Something Is Rotten in the State of Denmark- and it’s not the livestock flatulence.

It's controversial...
