I've updated the drawing - which I'll post later - that includes the audio signal path, metering and sidechain on two sheets.
For the moment I'll be pulling out all of the component designators in the drawing and reassigning them from the layout.
It's a little tedious that way but it makes manual DIY assembly easier when the "R" and "C" numbers ascend in some from of order that follows the PC board.
Once I finish that process I'll post it.

With all the various blocks on two pages and with the full picture I can start a layout using existing portions of the Waveulator board.
Nine of the IC stages and the process relay are identical.

The challenge is making it all fit.
The Waveulator has 20 ICs; the Uno Compressor has 21.
The Uno Compressor's "extra" IC is a 14 pin THAT300 so it may be a little tight.

Seeing its been a while, see you offer quadrature summing boards cool!
How are things going with the Uno comp?

Recently posted on gdiy but I'll leave it here for future reference on the quadrature topic.

Thanks for the post! The Lawo's filter, when drawn, has a nice visual symmetry.
I've occasionally seen them for sale on eBay.

The Quadrature Summing Filter board has done better than I thought it would.
The last order was for vinyl lathe with a mono cutter head.

Once I get caught up assembling PC boards I hope to return back to the Uno Comp project.
I'm so close to doing a layout for it.

Good to hear, yes it still pops up regularly.

Again for reference, I found another funky one, not checked or simulated yet.. it’s in the Leslie 60 speakers on the “space generator” board (service manual)

- cool thing about it.. does volume interpolation between the shifted signals by a rotating (motorized disc) capacitor.

Fascinating stuff. Thanks for posting that.

Maybe I can find a pic of that motorized capacitor...

Not the most sharpest since it’s a screenshot but here is one from the top:

What a cool thing!

Are there more "sections" stacked below it or is it just the 4 stator plates and the commutator?

I have an giant mult-section variable cap from an old Meisner receiver my Dad owned.
After seeing your pic and thinking about that mult-section cap I have some ideas percolating...

Probably should get to work soldering and then back to the Uno Compressor though...

Cool right haha?!

Yes!! - my guess is that it could work wonders beyond something a Leslie could do, but that
indeed is another direction than the uno comp. Tho I thought it made sense sharing some
other solutions of the quadrature sum.

Question:

If the UnoCompressor were to be used in mastering, mixing and possibly tracking what would be appropriate ranges for GR metering?

Would a switchable 5 and 10 dB full scale be realistic?
I'm thinking about a slightly different metering output to provide 5/10 dB for both bar graph and analog metering.
As it turns out I've noticed that some of the users who have used analog meters wind up using the peak flasher at smaller amounts of gain reduction. Despite it having peak hold the the analog meters are just too slow coming off the stop.

I made the ratio, gain make-up and metering pretty aggressive on the Waveulator thinking that, in addition to the more subtle settings used in mastering, somewhat might want to use it to process percussion.

I haven't gotten much feedback on the Waveulator being used on drums but a lot of positive feedback when used in mastering either pre-limiter or last-in-chain pre-converter.
