Play us a tune

Relax in southern comfort on the east bank of the Mississippi. You're just around the corner from Beale Street and Sun Records. Watch the ducks, throw back a few and tell us what's on your mind.

I was a huge Grand Funk fan when I was in high school. Saw them live several times when they came through my home town.

It had the late 60's hard rock sound but was veering towards Prog/metal , they used different scales to the blues guys ,
They carried on the big hair do's as a sign of defiance against the power ,
The boys dont look all that happy below ,Mitch especially , they probably had an uncomfortable night before with their rollers in , then a bunch of backcombing before the shoot .

A little off-topic but here's a post about my wife (before I married her lol) at the Who's performance in Ann Arbor on their first American tour. She was 13.

Someday I'll tell the story about Steve Winwood trying to teach me how to play guitar...

Noel Reading lived near the west Cork town of Clonakilty from sometime in the mid 70's until he passed away in 2003 .
Me and a bunch of friends got to meet him and see him play one night at DeBarra's pub ,
He was accompanied by Donovan Leitch and Eric Bell from Thin Lizzy.

A friend of Noels was a customer of mine in later years , I fixed up a Vox organ and a bass amp that he had belonging to him.

I was going to cover myself by saying the lipsync was appauling ,
It was filmed in an artists co-opperative space , probably with very little in the way of budget .
