Too many bots?
Too many bots?
I find it interesting that too many threads here (even some which appear irrelevant) have a ridiculously large amount of views, i.e., the view Vs post ratio is huge. I was wondering if there are too many bots lurking around and if you (Wayne) have to go through much trouble getting rid of them, or if it is just the product of non-registered users lurking around. Every now and then I can see at the bottom of the main page that there are a couple of bots "viewing" the forum, but not too many registered members.

Re: Too many bots?
A whois show most of the bots to be Amazon, Microsoft and Huaweicloud.
I use a service to block spam registration and posting which is also a bot.
When posts are made about Covid in particular there's a bot swarm. We're popular with the deep state.

Most of the crawlers at the moment are Yandex who consistently provide the site with high rankings.
