IIRC there is an architectural limitation because the QA400 USB transmits in burst rather than a stream which a conventional USB sound card would use.
Not sure about the QA401 which improved the I/O.
I think you're still better off finding a good sound card, USB or AES/SPDIF audio interface.
Then you can use a large number of packages such as AudioTester, YMEC, VisualAnalyzer, ARTA etc.

It's a few years old but still some good info.
I really need an audio/distortion analyzer. I spent some time really looking at the Cordell THD Analyzer but a sound card or interface and audiotester could be a lot cheaper.
My other obstacle is that I have a laptop - not a PC. So that means an external interface. The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is an option.

The ADC and DAC are not the difficult part. AES/SPDIF is easy.
USB interface not so easy...
