Re: Now I've Been Cited in the Cablevision Supreme Court Case
Welcome to the big time... Well it didn't feel like it at the time I can assure you. Now I can laugh about. I suppose that if you wind up losing its better to lose to the best and have them write a book about it. :geek: http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/publications/2004/Copyright_Law_A_Practitioners_Gu...

A Telephone-Based Remote-Controlled Radio Receiver
I've been meaning to post this for a long, long time... It's a DTMF-controlled radio that back-hauls audio through telephone lines cirrca 1993. I used to have a network of these scattered across the country. A modified Radio Shack STA-300 serves as the basic receiver. http://www.ka-electronics.com/i...

Re: Now I've Been Cited in the Cablevision Supreme Court Case
I e-mailed the lead attorney representing Cablevision to congratulate him for standing up to the copyright bullies. He made a very interesting comment that I'm not able to share. But wow, check out the number of books that cite it: http://books.google.com/books?lr=&q=infinity+broadcast+v.+kirkwo...

Re: Now I've Been Cited in the Cablevision Supreme Court Case
It was quite a bit of fun to beat, as a pro se , one of the top law firms in the country at the District Court level. I "lost" on appeal in the Second Circuit however with the case remanded back to District Court for consideration of additional issues. The later District Court judgment, a ...

More Media Dial-Up Citations
The list of Infinity Broadcasting v. Wayne Kirkwood dba Media Dial-Up citations keeps growing... I just heard on the news that the High Court had refused to hear the studio's case against Cablevision's DVR service: http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20090629-711145.html (WSJ story no longer availab...

Re: Oscilloscope mods?
I need to find a good point to get vertical out.
I have a Tenma RLC meter and Quad output PSU. Both work very well and provide great value.
I was thinking it was one of those ancient mic connectors. I've never seen a 'scope that used one but a lot of Bogen.

Re: Oscilloscope mods?
BTW speaking of osilliscope mods I was just thinking the other day how useful it would be to have vertical outputs at maybe a 1V/div scale factor. I could use that to drive the USB scope I have since the O'scope has a better front end than the USB one. One thing I could use for the USB is a BW limit.

Re: Oscilloscope mods?
Roger - On the old Leader connectors are those SO-239's like the LMV meters or are they the "Amphenol" mic connector with the solder button for the center pin? In any case, you should be able to replace them with BNCs. I was thinking that if it were an SO-239 you could just use a F-BNC to ...

Re: another active Summing Mixer designed for my needs
What John said WRT the differential impedance values being on the low side with the values shown. I hadn't really thought about it before but radiance makes a very good point about why a 1200-series (InGenius) should be used. If you're going to use a U-pad with InGenius, like you've shown in the dra...

Re: 1510 -- servo, or not ?
Hi Chris -
I would still put a 200/220 pF across pins 2 and 3 of the 1510/12 near the device leads.
