Re: OTB Mixer Using Current Summation
What I recall all seems reasonable, and any common pot value is fine. You guys have a better feel than I about specific value.

Ah right; read first, then talk. Good stuff there.

Re: HB for Sound Engineers
I have Audio Cyclopediea's 1 and 2, and then also I think 3rd edition of this book, which I believe is continuation of AC? How much is new here compared to 3rd edition? I didn't find any TOC listed.

Re: Any opinions on this console?
That's the best thing I've seen so far, and have had it bookmarked. Now to buy a PC.... Still running the ENIAC, eh?... I bet it would run under an emulator like fusion: http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/ Actually looks like I could run Windows under Boot Camp in Leopard, which I have on the MB...

Re: Any opinions on this console?
I followed up with the Prodigy folks I could find, but so far no luck. And similar experiences around here; people with equipment unwilling to take an outside one-off. Very strange. Thanks for the input, though. I'm surprised there's not been anyone reporting a personal experience with ANY vendor fo...

Re: Any opinions on this console?
Emrr, sounds like a job that any local sheetmetal shop should be able to handle - ones that do air conditioning stuff would probably be the cheapest. Don't mention the word restoration though! That is sure to add to the price... Yeah, that's what people tell me. Apparently I live in one of the most...

Re: Any opinions on this console?
Open source metalwork. I'm all for it.
Off topic a little; who the heck do I get to custom bend a chassis for me? Something like a Bud or Hammond open bottom 'cake pan' DIY'ers chassis, but in a specific size for a restoration?

Modern stereo specs - quoted 10% THD
Glanced at this little Ipod docking stereo the wife bought for her office; spec on the box states 20 watts total power at 10% THD. I was frankly surprised to even find a spec, but really, quoting power at 10% THD? Such nice round numbers, too. I do understand the kidz will crank this thing up into t...

Re: Any opinions on this console?
it's just way too porno to inspire work. It just makes one wish to remove ones pants. I mean, really, there's a large enough piece of well financed market share to warrant this sort of option lust as a production line product? People with so many 500 series modules laying about that they can custom ...
