The PCB is still on the way. Should arrive this week. In the meanwhile, I got myself some expensive capacitors from Digikey.
I am not sure if there is a point in using Nichicon's Muse caps for dc-blocking and by-passing, but oh well...

I use Pad2Pad. It's easy to use and they treat me well. I do not use electrolytic capacitors for IC power supply bypass. Put two large electrolytics where the power connects to the board, and then use MLCC's at each power supply pin on each IC, as close to the pin as possible. 0.1uF MLCC is plenty ...

Thanks JR for answering my question. I guess I wanted to find out if a power supply that can provide 80mA maximum current is enough for my amplifier design. I am looking at a 5v to +/-12v boost converter: http://www.ti.com/tool/lownoisesplitrailnoniso-boost-ref . It looks like this might do the job!...

Hello everyone, I am back with another question. I appreciate all your guidance! The short-circuit maximum current of NE5534 is 38mA (as per the datasheet). Can I assume that I can power 2 X NE5534 with an 80mA boost circuit? I have tried calculating the power requirement. So far I got only this far...

Single supply op-amp recommended for general audio applicat?
Hello everyone. I have been using the NE3354 which has +-12volt supply rails (dual supply).
Now my goal is actually not to drive big speakers. So I think i don't need massive peak voltages.
Can you guys please recommend a single supply op-amp with low supply voltage (=<5v).
