Re: Super Low Distortion Ultra Pure Audio Oscillators Revisited

Thanks George and Mike! To answer your question George I have a couple of extra boards. I've been running a bunch of tests and updating the schematics to match the PC board. https://proaudiodesignforum.com/images/png/ULDO-Nacho_19_Sheet_1_051321.png ULDO Ultra-Low Distortion Oscillator Schematic (Ri...

Re: Super Low Distortion Ultra Pure Audio Oscillators Revisited

ULDO-Nacho checks out without any board errors. Will post some distortion FFTs. +20 dBu into 604Ω balanced is measuring below -141 dBc. Found that the 49R9Ω output resistors add a slight amount of third harmonic likely due to signal-induced self-heating. With 0Ω build-out third harmonic is even les...

Re: Entropy

This Sunday's repair drama began about 10:30 Saturday night when my wife reported that the hall bathroom was flooding. The lavatory's faucet hose between the cold valve and the nozzle had popped open. Unfortunately it's a proprietary Price Pfister part not available at big box retailers. I decided t...

Re: TDK-Lambda Single, Bipolar and Triple Output Switching Power Supplies for Audio Projects

I'd look for a hiccup mode on the Meanwell when they're lightly loaded.
I don't recall seeing it with their open frame supplies but with the enclosed desktop "Green Power" series the hiccup was pretty bad.

Re: Super Low Distortion Ultra Pure Audio Oscillators Revisited

I've got a prototype run of boards on order so in a week or so we'll see if this dog hunts.

Re: Entropy

Had to replace the clothes dryer drum belt Sunday.
I think I've changed just about every rotating part, bearing surface, and the gas valve coils at least twice on this 20+ year-old machine.
I have a good stash of parts so I didn't have to order any.

It slipped so much the drum would barely turn...
