Re: THAT2252 RMS Detector Replacement Using a CA3046/LM3046/AS3046

Turns out CE Dsitributing also carry the AS3046 and full Alfa Rpar lineup. https://www.cedist.com/search/node/as3046 Alfa Rpar also make the AS194/394 (LM394) super-match transistors and and the CA3080/3280/LM13700/13704 OTAs. For almost any THAT2252 functional replacement in mass production the 43X...

Re: THAT2252 RMS Detector Replacement Using a CA3046/LM3046/AS3046

The AS3046 is in current production and stocked. It has tighter Vos and Ios limits on the differential pair and less delta Vbe on the uncommitted transistors than the original and runs about $4 US at qty 4 units. There is a shrunk feature GHz ft LM3046, the Renesas HFA3046, available in smt for RF. ...

THAT2252 RMS Detector Replacement Using a CA3046/LM3046/AS3046

Here's a replacement for the THAT2252 or THAT4301 RMS detector using a CA3046/LM3046/AS3046 5 transistor array. This post is from the thread THAT2252 RMS Detector Replacement Using A THAT300 Array https://proaudiodesignforum.com/images/jpg/THAT2252_Replacement_With_CA3046_AS3046_Transistor_Array.JP...

Re: MTC-MS-II Mid Side Matrix Construction Information

Thanks for posting the pics of the MSII and the Wet Dry Mix Add!

What are the part numbers for the pushbutton switches on the MSII?
Do they mechanically or electronically latch?

Also what's the source of the PSU board in the Wet Dry chassis?

Re: Dale CMF55-series Resistor Distortion

I recently used the Vishay MBB and some Holsworthy in the assembled ULDO-Nacho and FMCP and they were trouble-free. Some of the CM-55 in both 10 and 15K did test good in the same date code lots but they were a minority so I'm wondering if they have a trimming issue that's not cleanly cutting spirals...

Re: Alps Potentiometer Taper Chart

I've used State Electronics for Clarostat and they also distribute Alps but there's a 1200 piece minimum on the Alps whereas they'll build one Clarostat: https://www.potentiometers.com/select_Alps.cfm

Re: Waveulator ME Saturator Construction Information

Very nice!
The laser engraving is very clean-looking. The graphic turned out well.
I can't tell from the pic: Does the aluminum underneath look like bare shiny aluminum or does it have an "etched" oxidized crystalline-like texture?
