Re: Visualizing the Birt Line Receiver As A Fully Differential Amplifier
That’s a very flexible circuit. I wonder how it compares to something like an OPA1637?

Re: Transfer Console Monitor Controller
That sounds bad. I hope you get everything sorted out soon. We are waiting to get electrical service in the mountains. The pole is in. We are waiting for the electrician to install the meter and the excavator to dig the trench. I hope we get a good ground rod. I'm leaving the electrician alaone beca...

Re: A Monitor Controller
Thanks Paul! Would you prefer that it be a trim, fixed R or jumper/switch for the meter offset? I think fixed R with multiple possible positions. I'm thinking for digital mastering of loud mixes you would want attenuation. For using things like calibration records you would want gain. Both types sp...

Re: A Monitor Controller
That looks great. I could have used that instead of cobbling everything together from the M/S boards and some JLM boards. It’s perfect for a two turntable QC setup.
The only suggestion I’d make is to include meter offset capability.

Re: Texar Prism clone prototype Finished Version
I was trying to get 470uf 50v in a 10mm diameter. I usually use Nichicon HE but all I could find are Epcos at Digikey.

Re: Texar Prism clone prototype Finished Version
Are there any issues sourcing the MLCC caps? I have an open cart at Mouser right now for another project and haven't checked them. I’ve noticed lately that Mouser is picked over. I couldn’t get some non exotic aluminum electrolytic caps in the form factor I needed in any brand. Digikey has much bet...

Re: Mid Side M-S Matrix Uses No Precision Resistors
After thinking about it again I think the 8 pole 3 pos switch is the best answer. Signal Input goes to Wiper 1-4. Attenuator Input is from Wiper 5-8. In Position 1, Wiper 1-4 Signal input connects to Poles 1-4. Poles 1-4 are jumpered to Poles 5-8. Poles 5-8 feed Attenuator Input. In Position 2, Pole...

Re: Mid Side M-S Matrix Uses No Precision Resistors
I'm suggesting that you put the MS encoder, to monitor Mono or Difference, ahead of the Monitor attenuator. That way you have a low impedance source to drive the H-pad and you don't have to worry about the MS loading the pad. What advantage is there to it being post? It is ahead of the monitor atte...
