Thunderbolt/firewire audio

I just struck a deal on an RME interface , Ive been looking out for one a few years now , its fair to say they come with the highest recomendations despite being 20 or so years old To interconnect with the computer Ive found a few older thunderbolt 2 docks with firewire 800 port , The Mac Pro 6,1 ha...

Re: Anti gravity propulsion system

Theres some interesting clips of mercury motors on youtube , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au4hbUm4mMo Im re-imagining the ISS experiment with the cd players , but instead with rotating mercury , As you can see from the open mercury motor the faster it spins the more chances of spillage , but that...

I got tired of the 'Stories you couldnt post heading'

So where has social media brought us in the last 20 years or so ? To hung parliments and an us and them mentality the hardliners eitherside in the cold war era only dreamed of , The money has bought its way upto cabinet level in government , the same people also happen to run media empires , with th...

Re: Creative SB G6/CS43131

I found that the RTL latency software displays this same bump in the noise when the sample rate is changed , so that basically says the problem is not due to REW at all , its something to do with either the driver or Windows or both .

Re: Creative SB G6/CS43131

Heres two averaged noise measurements from the SSL2 , same settings first with the driver misbehaving , second with the driver working properly . SSLgraph2.jpg SSL2 graph1.jpg The other thing is with the driver misbehaving , the frequency response shows bumps within the audio band . As you can see i...

Re: Creative SB G6/CS43131

I found previously that if I set the SSL2 at 48khz then changed to 192 I got a huge rise in noise in the 30khz-100khz range , evidenced by the bump in the noise floor . A similar thing happens with the G6 , except I get a step above 20khz in the noise floor you saw in the last picture I posted . Mak...

Re: Creative SB G6/CS43131

I found a link to the inductors used in the G6 , https://4donline.ihs.com/images/VipMasterIC/IC/COLC/COLC-S-A0013850229/COLC-S-A0013855776-1.pdf These are indeed sheilded components , It seems these would require the correct placement /orientation to work effectively , the component land patern migh...
