Robert Schulein engineer at Shure passes away

Relax in southern comfort on the east bank of the Mississippi. You're just around the corner from Beale Street and Sun Records. Watch the ducks, throw back a few and tell us what's on your mind.

He was a friend of my mentor Al Grundy. I met him a few times at AES shows. He was a nice guy. I enjoyed chatting with him. RIP

I recognize the face.
I may have seen him at either an AES show or he visited us at Scott Instruments.
Shure at one time had some interest in speech recognition which Scott was involved in.
RIP.

I don't think I ever spoke with him but he was active in the AES IIRC, I probably saw him around at trade shows.

Back in the 80's Shure made a run at consumer surround sound so they bought one of my BBD delay based surround kits to check out... I bartered with a purchasing guy from Shure for a top line MM phono cartridge... we were both happy with the deal. They probably got $40 worth of kit parts in exchange for $10 their cost of phono cartridge.
