GroupDIY approval

Relax in southern comfort on the east bank of the Mississippi. You're just around the corner from Beale Street and Sun Records. Watch the ducks, throw back a few and tell us what's on your mind.

GroupDIY approval

Post by lsburden » Wed Aug 07, 2019 9:39 am

I registered with GroupDIY 5 days ago and I am still waiting for approval - is this typical?

JR might be able to answer the question about GroupDIY - he moderates there.

On this forum I had to recently suspend self-registration (with admin approval) due to a large bot swarm.
There's always a few but it became ridiculous.
For those wanting to register send me an email

@GroupDIY Ethan may be on vacation.

Moderator is code for doing hand to hand combat with spammers and carrying out the trash.

Spammer are a problem and Ethan has been too busy to incorporate more sophisticated code filters.

At the moment the auto-approval door is closed.

Tell me the name you registered with and date, if you recall, and I will ask Ethan to find and turn your account on.

I also had a recent problem with a spider swarm and had to block IP ranges.
