My Dad taught me how to use the Dutch Oven.
Pineapple upside down cake in the Dutch Oven was one of my favorites.

I love cast iron cookware. Pineapple Upside down cake is a favorite of mine too. I just learned making a tart tartan is very similar and even easier.

Eggs and breakfast potatoes are best by far in a cast iron skillet. It’s so humid in the Adirondacks that even if we heavily oil the pans they still rust when left unused. We’ve had to reseason all of them. Worth it though. They are good for camp but fire cooking too.

Egads! I hate to think about the future with an IOT enabled toilet:

1.To reset your Kohler I-Shit to factory defaults, hold flush handle down for 8 seconds.

2. Raise seat for two seconds.

Lots of things for years have had really odd factory reset sequences though.

I used to have a renault with a 'smart card' ignition. In most newish cars there is a button to disable the movement sensor in case you need to lock dog/kids/granny in the car for a short period. Not good enough for renault. You had to insert and remove the smart card 3 times to activate it, at which point there was no indication this had worked. French electronics is second only to lucas prince of darkness!

Philips has realised that having a dedicated hub just to control their products is NOT what customers want. This is the first positive step in a while!

From that article:

The new Bluetooth-enabled Hue bulbs will cost the same as those without Bluetooth: $15 for plain white; $25 adjustable white bulbs; and $50 for full color-change bulbs.

And to think that several years ago I would buy a 4-pack of 60W incandescent bulbs for $1.00!
