I meant to ask as I got in some 2068DD in readiness before you finally decided on the 5532. I assume the differences are small enough as to be not a worry in use?

I would take longer to place the mouser order! But I think this is proof of the 'meaure twice cut once' approach. I'm still impressed how close the breadboard was to the finished board.

Normally machined sockets are tight enough that you get a good metal to metal contact whatever. IF the pins are aligned properly.
