Re: Entropy

Yesterday was a busy day for deliveries to my casa.... First thing my 1000mAh nicads arrived in my PO Box, then UPS picked up the Amazon return *wrong size discharge hose adapter), and to complete the trifecta fedex delivered 40' of gutter shield (covers). No obvious shenanigans were observed. JR [e...

Re: Entropy

over the decades I have had good and bad experiences with multiple last mile delivery services. The USPS makes me angrier for their refusal to recognize the existence of my physical street address. Which is hilarious considering that the Post Office is across the street. Did you not invite th...

Re: home improvement turns into science fair projects?

You might want to pay Battery Bob a visit: https://www.batterybob.com/ Bob has sold me several unique batteries the last couple of years and would have a wide assortment of Amp/Hour and chemistries for you to experiment with. I have some 1000mAh nicads already on order. The 600mAh nicads were prett...

Re: Entropy

Home Despot is still in business and going strong. Not strong enough to be close to me. I think they had a store in Meridian, only 20 miles away, but closed it years ago. That may just be smart business. We've cut back on ordering much online if its shipped by Fedex. Fedex have institutionalized dr...

Re: Entropy

Now almost 2 weeks later my sump pump is still out of service (and crawl space still flooded). Today the second discharge hose adapter fitting arrived and it was the wrong size... I clearly ordered a 1.25" diameter fitting, but they sent me a 1.5" diameter fitting. arghhhh This is probably $0.20 wor...

Re: Pirbright Institute, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Coronavirus Patent

or maybe it wasn't accurate? why release a bioweapon in wuhan? That said there are reportedly two major bio-research facilities there that could have accidentally released an experimental virus, or someone is intentionally trying to destabilize the Chinese government that is already under some stres...

Re: Arduino LED "Roto" Clock and other Arduino Projects

my fancy outdoor thermometer (weather forecaster) has a radio updated time standard. Not that web connected computers are not accurate. My fancy weather forecaster that always says it is going to rain, this week said it was going to snow.... still wrong about the weather but at least the therm...

Re: home improvement turns into science fair projects?

The 2000mAh nimh batteries in my driveway lamps are not living up to my expectations. Reportedly my freezing weather should not bother them, but the results show worse performance than previous nicads with <1/3 rated capacity. JR [update- I just charged up my old 600mAh nicads and swapped out the un...
