THD cancellation. With a differential topology, if the two legs are exactly the same then you have cancellation of all even harmonics. This is from theory and applies at any level. After not being in the mountains for nine months I discovered I forgot to empty the water filter for the well. It cracked. The local hardware store didn't have the 3M AquaPure filter I was using. The 3M was about $175. I figured I'd give the Culligan they had a shot. They didn't have the best water...

I am not sure what exactly a balanced VCA configuration is. Using two (one for positive zig, and another for negative zag) will sum to +6dB more signal, while noise should combine incoherently to raise noise floor +3dB. So net 3dB S/N improvement for 2x cost. Today my replacement K&N air filter arrived so I could finish my air intake maintenance. I removed the MAF sensor housing and gave it a proper douche with spray cleaner out on the driveway... The spray can said to give it 10-12 shots and that seemed excessive (even though it was my neighbor's can). ...

Objectively I would want the click to be reproduced with the fastest transient response, the better to let it come and go, and de-click it. Program material wants objectively flat frequency response and low distortion.

But I don't try to play my old records these days so disregard my opinions.

Have you considered using the VCAs in a balanced configuration to double the headroom? What are the available supply voltages? Are HV op amps an option?
