Re: Entropy

My battery charger may be genius, but apparently it isn't a miracle worker... after a few hours reporting <25% it finally gave me the error code for "won't hold charge".. That is a little genius to diagnose the bad battery, but a VOM already pretty much told me that... Good news it appears to ...

Re: Entropy

Coincidentally while talking about batteries my big dog zero turn mower refused to start again out in my yard, while I was mowing yesterday and stopped to replace the water meter cover.... (The worthless kids who read the water meters for the town leave the covers off or ajar to make their work easi...

Re: New: A Direct-Coupled Input-Capacitorless Active Mic Preamp

I first proposed an "input capacitorless" preamp back in 2007 on another fora. At the time I recall Gus mentioning that he had seen a floating input instrumentation amp published. If I remember correctly he thought the source was either TI or Burr Brown. I may have found the Burr Brown example in t...

I believe its Bluetooth.
I didn't know that the human nervous system can understand bluetooth?
I knew someone who had an implantable device battery fail and the chemical leakage almost killed him.
Not good...

Re: Entropy

Unfortunately it looks like the battery charger is kaput. It seems like a software problem to me. It runs through a diagnostic, fails the diagnostic and goes into failure mode. It had a two year warrantee and I'm four years in. I guess the $250 for a new one will be less hassle than trying to get t...

Re: home improvement turns into science fair projects?

My speed control caps arrived but still sitting untouched. My immediate concern yesterday was that I was not getting the expected temperature/humidity normalization between the two rooms. It turns out I was getting some circular air flow from the doorway where air was returning into the main room an...

Do they communicate with the brain using SPI or I2S?

I suspect Musk's major contribution to the project is his name.

Re: home improvement turns into science fair projects?

I just realize that yesterday for the first time in my life I used "duct tape" for its intended purpose .  JR [edit The duct diffuser grilles have flow restrictor inserts giving me even more control over air flow. The 8" duct is spiral expandable that also contracts. If I restrict the inl...

Re: home improvement turns into science fair projects?

My basement is at 84% RH right now and it hasn't rained in 10+ days. I need a plan. I have been running dehumidifiers 24x7 for years... My Frigidaire is better than my Aeonaire but I am on my second Aeonaire. [edit] The second Aeonaire was a "free" replacement when the dehumidifier got stupid... I ...

Re: Entropy

Going back to the water-contaminated fuel... I think a can of Berryman's carb cleaner works at making water-contaminated fuel burnable. Same principle as Heet which Bill mentioned. I am still seeing an operating temperature issue... last weeks roll was still sluggish (missing?) even while up on the...
